Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is bringing some family fun to the summer by sponsoring The Luna Drive In Cinema experience at five different venues around England, with more locations to be added shortly.

In the coming months, drive-in cinemas may be the only way to share the big screen experience safely with others so The Luna Cinema is reimagining the drive-in format using state-of-the-art technology to present a socially distanced cinematic experience from the comfort and safety of the car.

From July 4 2020, families and social bubbles will be able to visit one of five Mitsubishi Motors Luna Drive In Cinema venues: Allianz Park and Printworks in London; Blenheim Palace in Oxford; Warwick Castle in Warwickshire and Knebworth House in Hertfordshire. More venues will be announced soon.  

Movie fans will be able to watch both classic movies like Dirty Dancing, Pretty Woman, Back to the Future and Grease as well as more recent releases such as Joker, Rocketman and Fast and Furious: Hobbs and Shaw. These will usually be screened in the evenings.

There will also be a series of matinee screenings of many children’s classics, such as Cars, Toy Story and The Little Mermaid. Customers will be able to pre-order snack hampers when they buy their tickets online, and will also have the option to order food and drink via their phones and have it delivered safely to their vehicle at the screenings.

For those who don’t own a car or feel like treating themselves, every screening will feature VIP seats in prime positions allowing people to enjoy the film from a unique setting in the back of a Mitsubishi L200, fully kitted out with comfortable seating, cushions and blankets. VIP tickets are available to buy but numbers are limited at each screening.

Mitsubishi Motors will run a competition offering not only general admission tickets but also a handful of these exclusive VIP experiences.
