NOT FOR PUBLICATION: MITSUBISHI MOTORS UK RESTARTS PRESS FLEET OPERATIONS

The Mitsubishi Motors in the UK Press Fleet will resume operation from June 3 following the Government’s easing of the restrictions implemented in response to the coronavirus crisis.

Of utmost importance to Mitsubishi Motors in the UK is the protection of every person who travels in our vehicles from infection, and with that in mind the Mitsubishi UK Press Office is working with our delivery partners Auto XP to implement the following procedures in line with the latest public health guidelines:

  • Enhanced cleaning schedule with a focus on vulnerable touchpoints (e.g. steering wheel, door handles, gear knob, switchgear etc.)
  • Anti-viral purge of vehicle upon delivery
  • Gloves worn at all times from collection to delivery, including whilst driving
  • Enhanced social-distancing handover process with contactless sign-off
  • Extended down-time period between bookings to limit risk of exposure to virus
  • Paperwork provided explaining the purpose of the loan, upon request

More specific details will be provided with each individual booking confirmation and if you have any specific requirements we will do our best to accommodate those. We will continue to monitor the evolving situation and the outlined arrangement subject to change.

If your test drive booking was cancelled prior as a result of the coronavirus lockdown we will be in touch this week to re-book your test drive and all other booking enquires should be directed to Amanda Gibson via email (a.gibson@mitsubishi-cars.co.uk) or mobile phone (07814 500607)

Journalists are asked to cancel any bookings if they are displaying any symptoms of coronavirus or have come into contact with anyone who has.
