Derived from the new Mitsubishi Shogun Sport, which launches in May, the dedicated commercial version combines a luxurious, technologically-advanced specification with a load area of around 1,500 litres and the ability to tow up to 3,100kgs (braked).
The business-focused conversion includes a six-inch bulkhead and a completely flat floor with bonded carpet behind the two leather-trimmed, heated and electrically-adjustable front seats. Security is enhanced with opaque rear side windows, with steel versions available as an option.
It is powered by an all-aluminium 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, which is matched to an all-new, eight-speed automatic transmission and Mitsubishi Motors’ advanced Super Select II all-wheel drive system.
Pricing is due to be announced closer to launch.
Mitsubishi L200 SVP II
The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II is the second limited edition model to be produced by Mitsubishi Motors in the UK’s Special Vehicle Projects (SVP) division.
The pickup epitomises the work of SVP to develop limited edition models that feature significant appearance changes to the exterior and interior. Only 250 will be produced – half in pearlescent Diamond Black and the other half in metallic Atlantic Grey. Details on either are picked out in orange to provide a striking contrast.
Power is provided by an all-aluminium 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine, while the rotary-dial controlled Super Select 4WD system can be combined with a six-speed manual or a five-speed automatic transmission.
The Mitsubishi L200 Barbarian SVP II is available from May and is priced from £30,135 (CV OTR) for both grey and black versions.
Mitsubishi L200 Club Cab 4Life
The Mitsubishi L200 Club Cab 4Life combines a payload of 1,045kgs with seating for four and the ability to tow up to 3,500kgs (braked)*.
Designed for businesses that need a pickup with crew cab seating but also a large load area, it features a rear bed measuring 1,850mm long and which is supported by heavy duty rear suspension.
The standard specification includes the Easy Select 4WD system with rear differential lock, rear hinged rear doors for easy access, air conditioning, central door locking with keyless entry, 16-inch alloy wheels, Bluetooth connectivity, daytime running lights, Hill Start Assist and Trailer Stability Assist. Its 2.4-litre turbodiesel engine is matched to a six-speed manual transmission.
The Mitsubishi L200 Club Cab is priced from £20,455 (CV OTR).
Mitsubishi Shogun SWB Commercial
The Mitsubishi Shogun SWB Commercial offers exceptional off-road driving dynamics, a comprehensive level of equipment, a payload of 455kg, and a braked towing capacity of 3,000kgs (750kgs unbraked).
Standard equipment includes Mitsubishi Active Stability and Traction Control (M-ASTC), 18-inch alloy wheels, a fully flat load area, LED daytime running lights, HID xenon headlights, rain and dusk sensors, keyless entry, climate control, cruise control, heated front seats and Bluetooth.
The display version is in Barbarian trim level, with customers also able to choose from SG2 and Warrior trim levels. The show vehicle is fitted with all-terrain tyres, bulkhead, rear security grille and rubber mats.
All versions are powered by a 3.2-litre turbodiesel engine, which produces 441Nm of torque at only 2,000rpm, matched to a five-speed automatic transmission and the Super Select II all-wheel drive system.
The Mitsubishi Shogun SWB Commercial is priced from £27,755 (CV OTR).
Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Commercial
The award-winning Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Commercial combines all the efficiency, environmental and financial benefits of the best-selling petrol/electric passenger version – CO2 emissions of only 41g/km, average weighted fuel consumption of 166mpg and an all-electric range of 33 miles – with a rear load area that can accommodate a maximum payload of 495kg.
As well as being perfect for drivers whose work takes them off road and into remote areas, the Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV Commercial is ideal for those who wish to make deliveries in town without incurring high fuel costs. Its usefulness also extends to a braked towing capacity of 1,500kg (750kg unbraked).
The display vehicle is finished to Juro specification, which includes such features as Hill Start Assist (HSA), privacy glass, automatic lights, LED Daytime Running Lights, rear view camera, dual-zone automatic climate control air conditioning, central door locking with remote keyless entry, Bluetooth, heated front seats and heated front windscreen.
Fitted to the model on show are all-terrain tyres, bulkhead, rear security grille and rubber mats.
