Mitsubishi Motors in the UK

By 1996 average annual sales were around 10,000 units, with a high mix of 4x4s. The introduction of European-built models increased sales expectations and new product strategies were implemented. New arrangements were also put in place for dealers, to grow the network.
Mitsubishi grew quickly in the UK and annual sales more than doubled between the years 2000 - 2005 from 18,000 to 38,000 units.
Mitsubishi Motors UK achieved considerable success in four-wheel drive and performance vehicles. However the company now leads the way in environmental technologies. The award winning Mitsubishi Outlander plug-in vehicle (PHEV) changed the UK vehicle landscape.
